The Monday Night Choir is a 40-person mixed a cappella choir based in the Mile End/Plateau neighbourhood of Montreal. Under the direction of Dina Cindric, the ensemble performs a repertoire ranging from folk songs to classical and contemporary music and pop songs. The goal of the choir is to provide a space where singers with varying levels of experience can learn from each other and be challenged to produce music that is both technically precise and highly expressive, all while having fun.
The ensemble has performed in a number of venues in Montreal, including La Sala Rossa, the Ukrainian Federation, Le Depanneur Cafe and Mainline Theatre, as well as in festivals including the Suoni Per Il Popolo, Under the Snow Festival and MTLAcapella.
